Stunning Vintage Studio Pottery Wide-Brimmed Pedestal Bowl ?A truly striking piece of vintage New Zealand studio pottery that heavily references mid-century modernist and brutalist design. ?Crafted with a wonderful eye for form, this pedestal bowl features a dramatic, wide-flared rim and visible throwing rings on the underside. What makes it incredibly unique is the glaze—a heavy, textured metallic finish with a subtle matte sheen that beautifully mimics cast pewter or aged aluminium. It has a fantastic tactile, fine-pitted texture close up. ?Perfect as a standalone sculptural statement piece on a sideboard, or as a unique fruit/key bowl. ?Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Has beautiful natural glaze pinholes and firing characteristics typical of handmade studio work. ?Markings: Unmarked / unsigned base.
